About the photographer
Hi, my name is Sandy Staerkel. I am the owner of Creative Imagery. I have been in business for 7 years now and I love what I do. This has become a family affair, with my daughter being a backup photographer. My husband is my prop builder and secretary when I'm not around. My son is my computer genius who helps me with composites, retouching, and digital paintings.
I am a gradute of the New York Institute of Photography. I am also a member of Professional Photographers of America which provides me with continuing education in the everchanging field of photography.

I began photographing early on as a hobby. My daughter, Annie, moved to the Madison area after she got married and worked at photography studios. We decided to open our own studio in April 2000. After 3 years she decided to quit and raise a family. Hopefully someday she will be back to continue working with me. I have enjoyed working with people and capturing that special moment for the past 7 years.

I have photographed numerous weddings over the past 7 years. Please check out my wedding page. I also cover families, children, pets, bands, seniors, and engagement. I have also done some work in commercial photography. My pictures are published in various log home magazines to include Log Home Design Ideas. I have also done pictures for Woman's World magazine and had pictures published in one of their issues. I continue to receive education through Professional Photographers of America by attending many seminars throughout the year to keep up with the changing field of photography.
